Job description
The Software Engineer role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals who are passionate about software development, cloud technologies, and application engineering. The position involves developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications while ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions.
As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to product development, automate testing processes, troubleshoot technical issues, and participate in designing innovative solutions. This is a hybrid role requiring employees to work approximately two days per week from an HPE office.
Key responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain cloud application modules based on feature specifications.
Follow security policies and coding standards while developing applications.
Design test plans and execute manual and automated test cases.
Automate testing processes to improve software quality and efficiency.
Deploy application code and troubleshoot production or development issues.
Debug and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, technical writers, and project managers.
Participate in code reviews and share innovative technical ideas.
Analyze business, engineering, and data-processing problems to design effective software solutions.
Support system administration, application management, and network-related troubleshooting activities.
Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, tools, and development practices.Required skills
Programming knowledge in one or more of the following:
Python
Java
Golang
JavaScript
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
Knowledge of cloud-based application development.
Basic testing, coding, and debugging skills.
Familiarity with CI/CD (Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment) practices.
Understanding of version control systems such as Git.
Basic knowledge of system administration and networking concepts.
Eligibility & qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering,Or any closely related quantitative discipline
Master's Degree is desirable but not mandatory.
Hybrid Work Model.
Expected to work approximately 2 days per week from an HPE office and remaining days remotely.
Candidates with internship experience in software development, cloud computing, DevOps, or testing.
Individuals familiar with Agile development methodologies.
