Software Engineer – Data Engineering (GCP)

You will be part of a data engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and analytics platforms. The role involves working with GCP services, modernising legacy ETL systems, and ensuring high-performance, reliable data solutions.

• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable data engineering solutions
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines
• Migrate legacy ETL systems (DataStage/JCL) to GCP-native services
• Develop and optimize data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Airflow
• Integrate data from Oracle, Teradata, DB2, Flat Files, and other data sources
• Perform ETL performance tuning and debugging
• Monitor data pipelines using Google Cloud Logging and Monitoring
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and availability
• Collaborate with cross-functional development and business teams
• Support production issues and deployments
• Participate in estimation, testing, and release activities

• B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or ETL Development
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Preferred)
• Strong knowledge of BigQuery, Dataflow, Airflow, and Pub/Sub
• Strong SQL programming skills
• Experience with Python and/or Java
• Experience integrating multiple enterprise data sources
• Good analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
