Join Barclays as an Assistant Vice President (AVP) within the Finance team, where you will play a crucial role in shaping the bank's financial strategy through accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Your responsibilities will span functional design, data management, end-to-end process and controls, delivery, and functional testing. You will contribute to the financial health and success of the organization by supporting management, cash and debt management, and insurance functions. Key responsibilities
Support options analysis and recommendations as part of decision making, leveraging best practice concepts.
Design conceptual data models underpinning all phases of processes and governance requirements in accordance with GDMS standards.
Develop target process and controls design/documentation and operational runbooks, aligning with organizational and role/service model definitions.
Update design/functional requirements throughout the development cycle, and resolve RAIDS related to functional requirements and business processes.
Manage project for change programmes with limited technology investment.
Develop scripts and data for functional testing to align with requirement definitions.
Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
Collaborate closely with other functions/business divisions.
Lead a team performing complex tasks or guide team members through structured assignments as an individual contributor.
Consult on complex issues, providing advice to People Leaders for escalated issue resolution.
Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of control and governance.
Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to work done.
Perform work closely related to other areas, understanding how they coordinate and contribute to organizational objectives.
Collaborate with business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and strategy.
Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively.
Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
Required skills
Primary experience in SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP related tool sets, supporting dashboard development.
Ability to develop process workflows and manage ETL tools such as SAP BW and Alteryx.
Capability to provide design solutions for internal reporting problems and business requirements with quick delivery, connecting tactical solutions to strategic roadmaps.
Business analysis skills to support strategic functions, delivering MI views for analytics and quick decision making.
Ability to support business on an agile basis, delivering critical requirements in a dev ops model.
Skill in building innovative dashboards on a sprint basis, with a key focus on controls and governance structure.
Proficiency in visually enhancing analytical views from legacy excel/PPT models.
Adherence to IR Controls and ability to develop/implement robust controls mechanisms in all managed processes.
Knowledge in Business Intelligence platforms, primarily SAP Analytics Cloud, and data management tools.
Project management / Scrum Master capabilities to drive prioritization.
Experience in designing MI dashboards and insights.
Broad business and industry knowledge and experience.
